Help kids stay safe with technology

According to a Pew Research Center report from 2013, 78% of teens in the USA have a cell phone (read full report here).  In 2012, 60% of 8-12 year olds were estimated to have a cell phone (read Consumer Reports article here).  Cell phones often give parents piece of mind, but also leave the kids vulnerable to a variety of threats.  In the age of “sexting,” cyber bullying, online predators, and identity theft, parents and kids need to be aware of how to enjoy the benefits from technology with less risk.  Check out the article below to get safety tips from the U.S. Department of Justice for kids and parents.
